    శ్రీనాథుడు ప్రస్తుత కృష్ణా జిల్లాలో ఉన్న కలపటం గ్రామం లో భీమాంబ మరియు మారయ్య దంపతులకు సుమారుగ సామాన్య శకం 1355 లో జన్మించాడు.[6] తాను పాకనాటి నియోగ బ్రాహ్మణుడని మరియు తన తాత పద్మపురాణముని తెనుగించిన కమలనాభామాత్యుడని శ్రీనాథుడు తన కావ్యాలలో చెప్పుకొన్నాడు.[7]
